recipe - Bentonite Hairmask

I use this clay mask as shampoo, to wash my hair once every 5-6 days, but you can also use it as a hairmask. This hairmask has improved my hairgrowth and given back my curls after it was damaged and affected by medicines. I use this myself for 2.5 years.

Ingredients:

25 gram bentonite clay (food grade)
half a teaspoon unrefined oil; aloe vera oil, olive oil, coconut oil, argan oil or castor oil.
5 drops of essential oil (by choice)
150ml (= 5oz) demineralized water

Method:

Make sure you use a glass or plastic bowl and fork due to the absorption of metal residues. Add water to the claypowder. Give it a light stir until the powder has absorbed all the water and there exists a lumpy mixture. Then add the oils and mix this. Leave this mixture for about 10 minutes and stir again. Repeat this once or twice until the mixture is smooth.

Use:

For long hair, over the shoulders (30cm from the neck). Wet your hair and apply the hairmask from the head to the ends and piece by piece, just like your hair is dyed. Make sure the mask is well applied to your scalp. Massage the shampoo on your head so that every piece is covered.

Leave for 30 minutes and rinse well.
