Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves of the cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), a tropical tree native to Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon. Since the 15th century, Ceylon has been renowned as the producer of the world's finest cinnamon. Thanks to its ideal climate and fertile soil, Sri Lanka remains one of the most important sources of true cinnamon today.
The cinnamon tree can grow up to 15 metres tall. For the production of Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil, the leaves are harvested and steam distilled to produce a powerful essential oil. Cinnamon Leaf Oil has a warm, spicy, and distinctive aroma and is widely used in aromatherapy, skincare products, natural soaps, cosmetics, and perfumes. It also blends exceptionally well with a wide variety of citrus essential oils.
