Organic Unrefined Shea Butter | Raw, Natural & Nourishing

Organic unrefined shea butter, also known as Shea Butter, Karité Butter or Raw Shea Butter, is a rich vegetable butter from Burkina Faso. The butter is traditionally used for skin and body care and naturally contains, among other things, vitamins A and E.

This shea butter is neither refined nor deodorized and therefore retains its natural character. Genuine raw shea butter has a distinct, characteristic scent, the intensity of which may vary between production batches. This is a natural characteristic and does not affect the quality.

Difference from Refined Shea Butter

Genuine unrefined Raw Shea Butter naturally has a strong scent. Unrefined shea butter that is offered as odourless may have undergone a deodorization process. Deodorization is not the same as full refining, but it does mean that the product has undergone additional processing.
