Candelilla wax is a 100% natural and plant-based wax derived from the wild Euphorbia cerifera plant. This hard and brittle wax has a yellow to orange color that may vary between batches. Thanks to its high content of hydrocarbons and natural resins, Candelilla wax is known for its firmness, good adhesion, and structuring properties.
The wax is obtained by processing the plant material, after which the extracted wax is heated and carefully filtered. The result is a highly pure cosmetic-grade wax that provides firmness and stability to lip balms, creams, lotions, makeup, and hair products. Because Candelilla wax is entirely plant-based, it is widely used as a vegan alternative to beeswax.
