Hydrogenated Coconut Oil 92 deg | Firm, Conditioning & Versatile

Hydrogenated coconut oil is a vegetable coconut oil that has been hardened through hydrogenation. This process gives the oil a firmer and more stable structure than regular coconut oil, while retaining its conditioning properties.

This deodorised, filtered and refined coconut oil originates from Indonesia. Thanks to its firm texture and good glide properties, it is a versatile cosmetic raw material for body butters, balms, lotions, soaps and hair care products.

Deg & Summer Information

92 deg (= 92 degrees Fahrenheit) for coconut oil refers to the melting point in degrees Fahrenheit. This corresponds to approximately 33.3 degrees Celsius.

During warm weather, vegetable butters may become softer or completely liquid. This is a natural process and does not negatively affect the quality.

  • To prevent leakage, larger sizes may be supplied in bottles or jerry cans during warm periods.
  • Once cooled, the butter will naturally solidify again. Its texture may change slightly during this process.
  • It can easily be melted again using a bain-marie in a water bath at approximately 40–50 °C.
  • Avoid unnecessarily high temperatures and prolonged heating.
  • The temperature at which a butter becomes soft or liquid varies depending on the type.
